FAQ

You have questions, we have answers

Is the solution suitable for small companies?

The Winddle offer is suitable for all company sizes: from emerging start-ups with a one-person supply chain/purchasing team to large groups that are industry leaders. Our different packages are adapted to each company's needs! From stand-alone use, to automatic connection to complex IT systems, to packaged or customized project support… Winddle offers a complete package adapted to your business size, maturity, and priority challenges. Contact us to discuss more in detail the offer that suits you best.

Can we use Winddle with our external partners (suppliers, carriers, etc.)?

Yes! Winddle has been designed to simplify collaboration with all the stakeholders in your supply chain, suppliers of course, but also carriers, logisticians, customs agents, quality providers or other players, depending on your organisation. Depending on your needs, you can easily bring all or some of your partners on board: they will have their own Winddle account for free, and will collaborate according to the rights and alerts you define. If some of your partners wish to connect their existing IT systems to Winddle to automate information sharing via the platform, no problem, it’s possible!

Does the implementation of Winddle require the involvement of our IT team?

No, not necessarily! The solution can be implemented without any IT resources. It can swiftly provide a satisfactory response to the mission, without mobilizing the IT teams who are often very busy. Within Winddle’s flexible and scalable approach, you can essentially run Winddle using simple Excel imports of your order portfolio. You don’t immediately need an automated integration with your existing systems (ERP, WMS, etc.) to achieve your priority objectives. Of course, this does not prevent you from further integrating the solution at a later stage, when it is relevant.

We already have an ERP, is it compatible with Winddle?

Yes, as far as product flows are concerned, the ERP is generally used to structure purchase orders/customer information, the product repository, and the supplier repository. Winddle’s objective is essentially to complete this transactional management of the activity that the ERP ensures, with a collaborative and very operational dimension to simplify and structure all the exchanges / intermediate validations/modifications related to the product orders created in your ERP. In this respect, Winddle is totally complementary to an ERP. You can connect Winddle to it if you wish to automate the creation of orders in Winddle and/or the updating of key information (forecast dates, quantities, timing, etc.) according to the actual and detailed progress of operations monitored in Winddle.

You don't have an ERP system yet? No problem, Winddle is a highly relevant alternative to help you start structuring your Purchasing and Supply Chain processes.

Is it possible to integrate Winddle with another IT system?

Of course! In many organisations, supply chain operations are already structured in part within IT systems such as ERP. To avoid creating double data entry issues, we offer different ways of automated data transfer between Winddle and your different systems to efficiently meet your needs. Excel import/export, API & web services, EDI flow, contact us to discuss the methods that best suits your needs!

We are looking for a TMS. Is Winddle the solution we need?

The term TMS - Transport Management System - covers very different functional and operational scopes. If you are looking for a solution to simplify and structure the organisation of your transport flows and the coordination of your transport bookings, transport tracking, carbon impact calculations, and documentation, especially since goods receipt/shipping announcements for product purchasing flows can vary considerably (means of transport, geography, etc.), then yes, Winddle can be the perfect solution for your TMS project!

However, if you are looking for a transport solution to optimise the routes of your truck fleet, you are knocking on the wrong door.
