Bouygues Construction is monitoring its international logistics flows thanks to Winddle

Bouygues Construction, a global player in the construction industry with operations in more than 60 countries, is optimizing the operational monitoring of its international logistics flows with the collaborative web-platform Winddle.

The objective is to ensure efficient coordination between all the stakeholders involved in the international supply chain of the company and a good level of visibility on logistics tracking, both essential to reach an optimal service level rate to construction sites and clients.

Bouygues Construction is thus strengthening the operational management of its logistics flows by increasing the visibility and agility of its logisticians in their daily operations follow-up for all its construction sites worldwide.

In concrete terms, Winddle provides real-time monitoring of the progress of all supply chain flows, with details of all purchase orders and the ability to organize their transport in a simple, centralized and collaborative manner.

“We were looking for a solution capable of standardizing the wide variety of operational processes while adapting to the specificities of our industry. One of the criteria for choosing the Winddle platform was its ability to unify the diversity of Bouygues Construction’s supply chain flows, ranging from simple personal equipment to complex products custom-made for a given construction project” explains Eric Bouret, Purchasing Director at Bouygues Construction.

In addition to the day-to-day monitoring, the expectations of the construction specialist’s logistics department also include the ability to easily access reliable and usable data in order to manage their overall performance, both in terms of the volumes chartered per project (product category, transports etc.) and in terms of lead times and logistics costs.

Thanks to its ease of integration and interoperability with the tools currently used by the purchasing departments, Winddle ensures an end-to-end monitoring, without any information gap between a purchase order and its various potential shipments (in one or more shipping units), right up to the delivery on the construction site.

Following a successful initial pilot phase, Bouygues Construction will deploy the solution for its French and international supply chain operations in mid-2021.
